Akbar -Akbar is known for his liberal ideas and liberal religious policy. He adopted a policy of mutual understanding and reconciliation among followers of different faiths and equality of all religions. He tried to harmonize the relations. He founded a new religion known as ‘Din-i-Ilahi’ based on the common points of all religions. Akbar had also visited Jadrup Gosain. Akbar sponsored religious debates between different Muslim groups (Sunni, Shia, Ismaili, and Sufis), Parsis, Hindus (Shaivite and Vaishnava), Sikhs, Jains, Jews, Jesuits and Materialists, but was partial to Sufism. He proclaimed that 'the wisdom of Vedanta is the wisdom of Sufism' Jahangir- There is the evidence of the emperor’s own diary, the Jahangirnama, and the recurring presence of a Brahmin ascetic called Jadup Gosain in it. Jahangir followed his father's liberal religious policy. The emperor visits Gosain several times; each time they meet alone and talk for hours; each time, the emperor emerges with a palpable sense of joy. Jahangir was a man who had a varied interest in religion Although he was a Muslim he even celebrated Hindu festivals at palace-like Diwali and holi. Jahangir loved celebrating rakhi the Hindu festival of the bond between brother and sister. Dussehra was another beloved festival of emperor Jehangir. He inspected horses, elephants, camels etc in his stable that day. The animals were decorated and presented in the parade before the emperor. He had many private meetings with a renowned Hindu hermit, Gosa’in Jadrup, and he describes one of these in his autobiography. In 1617, just three years after destroying Lord Varaha's temple, Jahangir began to engage in a series of discussions with a Hindu sannyasi named Gosain Jadrup. Their meetings continued over the course of two years. The nature of their relationship was characterized by Jahangir: "…he spoke well, so much so as to make a great impression on me. My society also suited him." Jahangir as having been able to ascertain that Jadrup had mastered Vedanta, yet Jahangir concluded Vedanta and Sufism were the same. Mirza Aziz Koka - Mirza Aziz Koka (Khan-i-Azam) also known as Kotaltash, was the foster brother of Akbar. He remained one of the leading nobles at the courts of the Mughal emperors Akbar and Jahangir. He was also the Subahdar, governor of the Subah (province) of Gujarat. He was also the father in law of Prince Murad And Prince Khusraw. He also had encounters with Jadrup Gosain as he was a learned person and very influential in Akbar's time. NOTE- Options 2 ) Shah Jahan and Abdur Rahim Khan-i Khanan, option 3) Prince Khusrau and Prince Khurram and option 4)Shah Jahan, Raja Bithal Das and Surt Singh Rathore- they did not have any encounter with Jadrup Gosain. Also because they were not tolerant in terms of religion. They did not have good terms with Hindu saints and religious poets.
